Greetings from New Brunswick

Hi guys, my name is Mike Delaney

I've been lurking in the shadows for a few years but never bothered to create an account on here until now.

I operate a small buisness rust bluing firearms, refinishing/repairing stocks, grind to fit recoil pads etc. The wood refinishing is more of my specialty.

Glad to be on here
Cheers👍

Welcome Mike! I'm just outside SJ as well. I may have to look you up sometime, have a few guns that could use a touch up

Welcome from Eastern Ontario, Cornwall area.
Got a question: I have a single shot 410 that was in a wet area for a long time.
I had the gun checked by a gunsmith, every thing works properly.
I sanded the stock and the wood looks good only the finish was affected.
I sanded the front stock and the side that sat in dampness is soft.
I was thinking of lightly sand blasting the wood to remove the soft wood fiber.
Then filling it with an epoxy filler and file and sand it down to match the other side.
Finally finish it in black, what are your thoughts and suggestions?
