Hello to all,

New to hunting as of this past year, work friend pushed me into it and I can't believe it took me 30yrs to get into it.

Bought a bow in the fall and got a nice sized doe. What a rush! Can't wait till next year.

Wife surprised the hell out of me at Christmas by buying me a Remington 870, had my friend purchase it since she doesn't have her PAL.

So I got my bow and shotgun and I am currently deciding on a good moose& deer rifle.

Best part is my wife seems really interested, and wants to get her PAL.

Enjoy what I have seen so far on the forums, I'm sure I'll be posting some rifle questions soon.

I have a workmates that shoots at Silverdale... But we can never seem to get out together. I am thinking I will join once I get my rifle. & eventually handgun...
Are there any other places in the area to shoot?
Also, I am looking for places to just use my shotgun and maybe a 22 or something, do you need to know someone with private land or can you use government land?

My wife really wants to shoot the shotgun and I was going to borrow a friends 22 so she can pick off a couple of pop cans or something.

Also, wife looking to get her PAL, does anybody run the course in Niagara Region?

Silverdale runs Hunters Ed, Non-Restricted and Restricted courses. You can check out their dates online or call in. I think they sometimes add courses if demand is high enough.
