Hello Everyone!

Came across the site last night while searching some 10/22 stuff and thought I'd join up since their seems to be lots of useful info here. Really just getting back into things as I shot a lot when I was younger but recently got my PAL and am now trying to decide what I want to buy!

Yes welcome, and buy an SKS. Cheep ammo, parts ...ect. I was advised of this and did not listen, a year later a bought an sks and i love everything about it, looks, cheep ammo, parts ect.... there no better choice if you just wanna have some fun on the cheep.

Welcome! Nice to have you on board. Whereabouts in S.Ont. are you?

I'm in Kitchener...

Yea that wont happen as its not my cup of tea. I've had a bunch of .223 & .45 brass, dies and presses given to me so eventually I'm looking to pickup a Remington 700 in .223 and either a Para Ordnance GI Expert or the Springfield Armory GI Spec .45. Currently I'm looking at .22's as my starting point to get back into the mix and pistol wise its between a Ruger MK II or a Smith & Wesson Model 41. Rifle wise I'll be getting a Ruger 10/22.

Really want the S&W but the $400 difference between them and the Rugers is killing me!

If its not for you its not for you, but as far as deciding about which gun to buy i find with my self at least if i dont get what i actually want i wont be satisfied and eventually with sell what i have to get what i want. Also in Kitchener id avoid shooters choice they act like they are doing you a favor by selling you they gun and take forever to get the gun to you, my buddy waited 3 weeks canceled his purchase paid the restocking fee, bought it for cheeper on the EE and had it by the end of the week. Also i bought a gun from there and he bought the same one for cheeper from the EE a week after i did and got it a week before me, needless to say i have finally taken his advice and stopped shopping there. Also just bought a gun from a different store to day and they had the gun transferred into my name before i got home from the store and called me to update me, thats customer service! Not rolling you eyes at someone when they want to look at a gun.

Believe it or not I've already had a bad experience with them so they offer me a free hat? My thinking was why would an unsatisfied customer now wear one of their store hats and walk around advertising them ? So I simply took my money back and left.

Currently, looking to spend my money @ Globes down in London/Tillsonburg etc...

Oh i believe it, i would be a little suspicious if it was the other way around i am yet to find someone that had a positive experience, i met a guy who was offered a job there and its closer than his current job to his house and he turned the job down because of the current employees attitudes. Oh and dont get me started on the girl that works there, she is convinced her s**t dont stink and she knows all about firearms, i think shes just used to horny old men complementing her day in and out because she has t**s (breasts). Sorry if thats a lil offensive but its true. The also mentioned to me that they have loyal customers like the guy they claim a guy spent over 100gs on guns and they know his PAL number and info off by heart....the whole time i was thinking a)great i could care less, hes rich good for him b) so if you cant buy the store your not worthy of good customer service?

Welcome Jefro, I'm also in Kitchener. Let me know if you want to go to the range and break in your new gun(s).

Regarding Shooter's, I haven't had gun buying/ordering experience, but whenever I go in someone usually offers me help and are usually polite. I got a new scope there and mounted right away even though the shop was busy. Anyways, your mileage may vary and that's understandable.

Appreciate the offer but currently I do not own any firearms as the one I thought I bought was sold to someone else instead. Which club are you a member at though ? I use to shoot out at the Waterloo Revolver Association when I was younger so I figure I will head back there again. Just waiting till March for the next members meeting etc so I can go sign up.
