Hi All.

Joining today from the land of the giants, Yukon. Lived here for 16 years, and have hunted with my father all my life. Received a recommendation to join this site from our local gunsmith, Bob. This, after I picked his brains about .375 Marlin vs .444 Marlin, vs 45/70.

By the way, I'm looking to acquire a .375 Marlin in near mint or better condition if anyone knows of any available for purchase.

I did submit a request to join EE yesterday, but am still awaiting for activation.

How long does it usually take?

Welcome to CGN! If you're not already a member of the NFA and/or CSSA, please join. These firearms organizations work on our behalf to ensure that Canadians can keep and enjoy their firearms. They are our voice in Ottawa, and we need all the help we can get. Click on the links in my sig line for more information.
Again, welcome aboard.

"...looking to acquire a .375 Marlin..." Hi. Good luck. They were only made for 3 years. 1980 to 1983. Rumour has it that Marlin only made about 16,000 of 'em. That doesn't mean you should give up though.

I figured they were rare, but wasn't aware of the particulars. Thank you for the heads up.

My father owns one, and I've hunted with it. Love that gun, but I'd have to pry it from his cold dead hands before using it without him. So I've decided to try searching for one to purchase and add to my collection sooner than that.

The occasional one appears on an American gun auction website, but that doesn't help me here in Canada.
