I am an ex-competition shooter; mostly IPSC, PPC, Bullseye and some tactical stuff but haven't been very competitive since leaving the Island in '89. In the '90's I sold off most of my guns, keeping only my most precious one. Then somebody in Ottawa changed the law, and I missed out on having my possession of restricted weapons being grandfathered to a prohibited endorsement on the new PAL. Consequently I had to turn the gun my wife gave me in '85 over to the RCMP or be branded a felon. That wasn't easy and it still tastes bad. Between Y2K and '06 I did allot of teaching and coaching on ranges around BC but haven't done much shooting since then. I used to love reloading and did that for many years, eventually producing a match round comparable to Winchester's Super Match, courtesy of a buddy's homemade Ransom. I've recently retired and just moved back to Vancouver Island.
