Hi all, new to the forum and also new to the firearms hobby, only recently took the CFSC so now the waiting game, have been kinda window shopping and doing research on various firearms so when its time to actually go shopping I have a better idea of what I want to start out with, my uncle has 3 guns that he is holing onto for me that my grandfather wanted me to have when he passed (winchester 12g, belgian browning with gold inlays that has never been fired but my uncle says cant anymore unless the barrel is changed as they dont make the ammo size anymore or something to that effect and a .223 bolt action that I cant recall brand or model but it does have a massive scope on it)
I am a knife guy and have about 40, some fixed but the majority folders, various materials and I am a bit of a steel nerd so this is likely the wrong new hobby for me to get into because my bank account will hate me, the wife probably as well but she seems to be ok at the moment that I will be purchasing firearms instead of knives, she was goof at first but thinks I dont need anymore, but of course I do lol.
I am a complete rookie to firearms as all Ive ever shot were military guns (c7, c9, c6 and M72's, Carl G, grenades etc and other random stuff from the US army when training with them in the US and some fun stuff our regular military doesnt get but JTF2 does when I did a training exercise with them playing enemy force many years ago
