New on this forum. Have been shooting for 40+ years and reloading for 30 or so. Didn't do much for the last 10 years but started again. LOTS of changes in components and equipment. Have been lurking and reading the gunsmithing and reloading forums. Reading these threads continues to be very helpful!

Two posts in, and already you .... :stirthepot2: ;)

An excuse is needed?. ...... If the bulk quantity of yours truly's unfinished 'projects' were ever to be used to measure/indicate or diagnose some sort of chronic character flaw, this sorry fella would surely rate "beyond redemption". however, whilst accelerating into the wanton depths of degradation, one can also choose to enjoy the ride. w:h:

There's a really nice P14 BSA model 'E', factory built, sporter in the safe, with a darkly grooved bore. Don't really need another .303 though.(see 'character flaw' ha:) f:P:2: Was thinking to build a honking big .35, a .358 Norma or maybe .358 STW.
Now pondering (thanks to you :D) .35 Epps, via. rebore or rebarrel. So much simpler/cheaper when feeding issues don't happen.

Do you have any advice or opinions on the Epp's wildcats?.

If It shoots well this is the cheapest option. Just a chambering job.

You still need some feed rail work to deal with the straighter case body. Any of the many choices based on the Epps design will be uniquely Canadian though.

Thanks for that good info, do really like the Canadian heritage, as the first time I crossed Ellwood's threshold was back in '61 or so. Kneehigh to a grasshopper.

The BSA is fresh out of the post office, not shot yet. Groove dia. slugs at .314", so we will see as the lands are still sharp and shiney. A five groove sure is tricky to measure though.

Great intro to CGN, Thank's.
