An introduction into a new order of things has always been for me, a little difficult; I mean, where to start?

I've been hunting since I was 16. I'm currently 29 (And by no means claim to know everything there is about rifles, however my children will tell you otherwise. shhh) I've recieved my brand spankin new Possession/Acquisition licence in the mail last week, and honestly, I've yet to go out and legally hunt. :rolleyes: Kind of like I sold out and just don't feel like celebrating yet. :D

I've always been partial to Bighorn out near Mt. Cadomin, AB; Just a stones throw from Jasper National. (A scent or a misstep and the run, not the hunt, is on! :rockOn:)
Other than the occasional Sunday out at whichever farmers pasture who is getting fed up; Golf has nothing on .22 gopher 'hunting'.

I'm still in the process of registering (my babies);
Henry .22LR Lever aka 'Gopher Reaper'
Winchester Model 70 Classic (Whitetail/Bighorn)
Browning Auto5 12GA

All three were given as gifts out of hunting necessity, (You're coming hunting and you don't own a rifle? Hrm...what can I give you that's in working condition??) It wasn't until a week ago that I thought I may want a few upgrades; as my son is getting older, I just don't want him learning on my older .22, you know?

Now, I *am* Native Canadian, so invariably I am expecting a few shakes of the head and, 'You lucky/unlucky bastard' comments on my hunting etiquette and year round hunting practices. Oh well, that's life, now, onto the forum!!!
