I was invited this past weekend to the Griffin & Howe benefit for the Game Conservancy. What an awesome place of over 4000 acres in New Jersey. The cart trails are nearly all asphalted. The course had 20 automated stations with several machines on each stand. Breakfast and a fabulous luncheon was available each day. The party Saturday night lasted into the wee hours of Sunday.
I had the great opertunity to shoot Sunday with: Roy Lyu of Boss & Co, Alex Diehl general manager of Krieghoff International, Cornelis'T Mannetje CEO of AUG. Lebeau-Courally. Cornelis is one great shot!!!!!! He also owns one of the most custom and flexible gunmaker in Belgium: http://www.lebeau-courally.com
I also had some great time with Robert Pearson Jr of Holland & Holland and of course Chris Batha. Paul Allen and Tom Donahue of G & H shooting school were great fun and very good shots. The two of them are the exception to the rule when it comes to good coaches, they can shoot! Chris Batha had the highest scores on both days but did not count as he was an instructor.
Pictures are in my website: http://www.sportingphotosshop.com under the STOREFRONT, 2009 Game Conservancy.
Of course, none of the great gunmakers useed their guns to shoot clays! Cornelis got a K20 while Roy shot a CG with an automatic safety. I shot my 28 Chapuis with very good results! Alex shot a K80.
Regards,
Henry
