Does anyone where to get generic grip screw escutcheons and screws, ideally in country or something that doesn't require a customs check? I've searched around, tried places like tandy leather and such. Want to try my hand at making some grips for my Wrangler.

If it is a one off thing I suggest make your own providing you have access to a small Late. If not, try connect with a Hobby Machinist (or bribe a Machinist Apprentice) willing to make one for you. Its really not that difficult to make the Brass Nut if you have the right size knurling Tool.

Good Luck
Cheers

Making your own grips is a pass-time i used to enjoy a lot. Not a lot of tooling needed Bandsaw is nice but hacksaw works, Dremmel tool with a 1000 different bits is nice but a # of different file contours will work...and sandpaper, lots of it...and time in the evenings to just quietly work for an hour or so, takes a couple hours a side to make a pair from scratch with the rudimentary tooling.

Back to your question Pm me a mailing address, I have a few escution screws left over that came from Brownells that i can spare ( might take me a couple days to find the buggers but I know their here).
