i am a fairly new handgun shooter & purchased 2 New Vaqueros for cowboy shooting, but i am having a problem griping the guns - they seem to turn in my hand when i fire ( so i shoot low & left)
when i grip the gun the only part that really contacts my palm is the bottom of the grip (it is slightly larger)
i get a rub mark at the contact point fairly quickly when shooting (i rap my little finger around the bottom)
i shot a fellow cowboys regular Vaqueros before i got my guns & i could shoot them fine (they are based on a larger frame & i didn't realize the difference)
i was thinking of rapping the grips with a racket tape to build it up until i can hold it firmly & shoot a better group
but, once i have done that is there a way to measure to get custom grips, or can i shim the current grips somehow?

Mark, you want a S/A to roll in your hand when it recoils. Why? The rolling motion soaks up the recoil. Do not put rubber grips on you revolver as it defeats the design's intent. Regards, Richard:)
