Grizzly at 9 yards

What a trophy and good shooting vanessa.I cant wait to get one of my own,I'll have to practice on the black bears for now.

Great piece of video, and congrats on the beautiful bear!

I never would have thought that any comment could be stupid enough to detract from footage like that...and then, lo and behold: three pop up!
I was being sarcastic, see comments in old point blank moose thread. lol

...and so now I will remove the other foot from my mouth!

In future I shall require all sarcastic posts to include at least two relevant emoticons, as well as written directions where appropriate.:)

Looks like two camera operators.

Or was that in the editing, showing the hunters from below at a distance, cutting to close ups of the bear, and back and forth, then the earring shot, etc.?

some people like eating bear, different strokes

well prepared even an old grizzly can be very very tasty and good to eat of course weel cooked.

last saturday we had chorizo sausages made from black bear meat and if we didnt tell the people no one will be aware. grizzly bear is the same except the ones feeding on fish. up here 90% of their diet is grass, roots etc.

all the best.

The most surprising thing on this thread is the number of dumb-ass anti-hunting type comments.

This is supposed to be a hunting forum...

so you're saying that every hunter must agree with what every other hunter does? correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought the whole point of internet forums is to allow people from across the world to share their experiences and comments. i'm not aware of too many hunters who accept and agree with all types of hunting...

some dislike trophy hunting as it's often done to satisfy ego's or sponsors and they're fully entitled to share their comments. just like those who trophy hunt are fully entitled to post their experiences. ;)

the world would be a very boring place if we all thought the same....

trophy hunting is nothing different from a deer hunting. you don't need to kill a cute deer to survive. you kill the deer for your ego too.
this forum is not for everyone to post any comments they want. it is for hunters. it is wrong for a deer hunter to condemn grizzly hunter, for a traditional bow hunter to condemn crossbow hunter, etc
something is wrong with some so called hunters here.

I can't figure out how the cameraman is at that distance from the hunters at the outset of the video, then is suddenly filming at the crest of the rocks observing the bear, then back downhill viewing the hunters again, then back up at the crest of the hill filming the bear, then suddenly behind the shooter.

The whole thing was staged. I wore the bear suit, and it's hot as hell. We got the carcass for the suit from a travelling circus, after the bear died after an apparent suicide. Heavy drinker, never got over being abused as a cub, only joined the circus to get away from a den of hurt. Sad story really, much worse than a simple hunt.

Kill? KILL?? We don't "kill" stuff anymore...that is SO 19th century!

Apparently we "harvest" critters now. Much nicer for all concerned.

I remember seeing this episode on Outdoor Quest tv, and if I recall correctly they had a second camera left running unattended where they left their packs. The rest was done in the editing room.
