Grizzly feeding problems

I have a 12.5" DA Grizzly and sometimes the rounds don't come out from the magazine tube. Anybody know how I can fix it or what the problem is?
 
By all odds it is a problem with the right hand shell feed latch. It probably has to be SLIGHTLY filed or a new Remington latch installed.
 
I've fired just about everything... From Brenneke slugs, federal buckshot, and yes, some cheap traploads. All had issues. Think I'll take it in to have it looked at. I know it's bad but I can't be bothered to ship it back... I also have the magfed Grizzly, which hasn't had any issues to date thankfully.

Some shells slide smoother then other brands.

Notice Winchester 100 pack shells are smoother then the Federal darker reds?

I've put well over 10k rounds through my Grizzly and had several FTF but all due to DIRT & DEBRIS in the magazine tube.

Keep that clean and she'll act right for ya.

I've done NO modding to the internals of my gun at all, just basic cleaning and throwing it around in the snow mud and dirt.

Keeps acting right. :)
 
I had the same issue. 3" shells rarely feed properly and often the last round with 2 3\4 fails to come out more than an inch. Can Am sent me new latches. Still does the same f**king thing:rolleyes:.

I fired Federals, Remingtons, Sellier-Bellots, Winchesters, Rottweil-Brenekes.........2 3/4" & 3" slugs & shot shells through my DA Grizzly......smooth as mountain lake at dusk.....not even a hint of a hang up or jam.

Cheap "junker" guns are sometimes quite variable in quality within the same model.........I must have lucked out & the Chinese factory worker that made mine was sober.......my Grizzly was probably the first one made that shift before the liquor store & bars opened & the guy could still see the tools he was working with.

I've seen some "workmanship";) on a couple of DA Outlaws where the guy at the assembly table must have been shytfaced drunk.

My DA Outlaw was fine.

A better spring would be a good start for reliable feeding.

An extra power spring would be better.
 
I have not had any issues with mine yet.( over 300 rds ) But maybe I should take it out and run a few boxes of cheap o walmart ammo through it and see.

I would check the action and loading latch for burrs

I somehow don't think that Norinco does all the fine finish polishing to ensure that parts are within a few thousands of an inch of blue print tolerances to ensure the perfect part to part fit & silk smooth functioning of a Purdey or Greener.

Maybe the unit price difference of approx. $200 vs. $20,000 has something to do with the discrepancy in manufacturing TLC.

I doubt that Norinco owns a metal polisher........or even a lathe for that matter.;)

A hammer & a coarse file appear to be the "finishing/fitting tools";) of choice judging by the looks of a couple of DA Outlaws I've seen.

I've been useing Winchester Super Speed (whs127) and they worked fine in my 590. Which areas of what parts do i have to polish or fix to make it better.
 
If the shell latch is bent, polishing won't do it. There may not be another option but to re-stake a new latch in place.

Kind of hard to assess the issue with just your description of "sometimes the rounds don't come out from the magazine tube".

Shouldn't you be sending it back to the dealer it came from instead of troubleshooting something that should work right out of the box?
