I cut out the posts so you didn't have to wade through the stupidity and nonsense. CanAm's fix was to tell me to send the gun back for replacement, then after a bunch of BS mistakes on his part only give me new latches while leaving it up to me to reinstall.

PS while both latches sit properly and work better now, it still does it!

:D

I got an unfired;) Grizz in a trade I did last week.

I kind of think the gun was test fired by the trader and that's why you (the tradee) got it in the trade.

If someone offered to trade/sell me a gun without me test firing it I would be thinking.........."What time yesterday does this guy think I was born?"

I'd have to know the person/dealer really well & know he'd come good for any shortcomings before I approved the transfer of a firearm I had not thoroughly inspected & tested myself.

I cut out the posts so you didn't have to wade through the stupidity and nonsense.

Accepting an untested (not thoroughly tested by the buyer) gun in any kind of commerce other than as a gift is not exactly an act of genius either.

I had a Norinco which would constantly spit out 2 at a time (causing a nasty jam).
I replaced the latches with Remington latches (problem solved).

The member I did the trade with got the boot. It was my first trade and my last. He traded (so he said) because he had several of them. The gun ran fine with 2 3\4 for the most part which is what he said he tested function with. Back on topic, it sounds like this isn't an uncommon problem.

What was CanAm fault with the gun that you sent back with no shell latches in it. The part you sent back to CanAm was functioning with no problems.

CanAm is warrantying the gun, sending new latches. Not a big deal but it leaves me in the same spot as before the gun's trip to Vancouver. I still get to pay a smith to install them properly and I wasted 5 weeks. I am pretty much indifferent, I know I got screwed in the initial deal so I can't blame CanAm. Quite an annoying detour though.

So before you weren't blaming CanAm for the shotgun problem and now your blaming him for something that is out of his hand.

I am not going through this again. If you weren't going to replace the gun why tell me you would? I could not have been any clearer in my emails to you guys. Not to mention I was still stuck with restaking the latches, which is not free. I don't feel right #####ing given I wasn't the guy who paid you for the gun. Though I must say the gun was unfired and the problem area was not fooled with of that I am sure, it should have WORKED. I could not possibly have been any clearer in my correspondence. Really though whatever that is old news, I just want to know how to fix the problem without pointlessly losing one of my firearms for 5 weeks because 2 separate people didn't read my emails all the way through or whatever the hell happened.

How is you not sending him the "broken" shell latches his falt..............:feedTroll:

I have a 12.5" DA Grizzly and sometimes the rounds don't come out from the magazine tube. Anybody know how I can fix it or what the problem is?

You could try a changing the spring or the follower in the magtube and see if that fixes the problem. The follower could also be jamming at the end of the tube and you could try cleaning up the end of the magtube with some fine sandpaper and see if that helps.

So you really can't polish a turd. I see someone else replaced a cheap Chinese part with a genuine Remington part and solved the problem. I guess you do get what you pay for.

I don't know why but I love reading your posts. How do you like commenting on things that you know nothing about? I told Chris and Mark the latches were not going to be in the gun several times. The response was that if I sent the gun back it would be replaced. I would post the Email if it wouldn't take so long to clean up all the personal info and make it legible, it's pathetic really. I guess reading comprehension is not their forte', or yours.

This my last punch here, I never intended to bring this back up. I just want the silly thing to work.

Sometimes I don't know why I even bother posting, "The Big Man Himself" usually shows up with some half-relevant dumbass comment if he thinks he can get in a shot in. I usually feed him though I'm not sure why. Glad to see TDC is enjoying himself, he probably likes being on the sideline of the s**tshow for once:D.
