I re-read some of those posts and it's not as you say it is.
All they say is that if the shotgun is mounted on a AR15 PLATFORM
The shotgun remains NONRESTRICTED and the AR remains RESTRICTED therefore making the PACKAGE require only the same ATT and registration as the AR15 Mounting.
But the Shotgun is considered a seperate gun so the AR system counts as the stock and the SHOTGUN remains NONRESTRICTED.
Therefore it follows mounted on a NONRESTRICTED rifle the package will be NONRESTRICTED.
Maybe you got some UNCONSIDERED advice from the CFC

I think we should request that the CFC create a hotline to require some people who shall remain nameless retake their PAL tests and actually require them to read the course material when they fail to display a reasonable understanding of the regs. It would really cut down on a lot of #### measuring that happens on here as much as it pains me to miss outbursts like i apparently missed today (from all parties).

As a side note i'm equally as smart mouthed in person as i am online. I'm gonna get back to my bag of chips now.

I never received that promised PM so thus far, no one is building one. Except KAC of course, but the mount is an ITAR item so not easy to get. I'm ready to farm the job out to a machinist I know in Hong Kong since no one here is taking this seriously.
