Hello, Im looking for your opinions on ground blinds. Lots to choose from but not a lot of chance to see and feel them out.

I have looked at a Altan bush bunker which has a good camo pattern, seems well put together, went up quick and a good size but Im not sold on the velcro mesh screens.

Would like on around the 70x70" mark and 67" tall but not looking to spend 500 bucks.

I have one of those Ameristep ground blinds. It is one with velcro mesh screens and there is nothing quiet about those. It's the one thing I hate about my blind if I am being honest.

I also had a fibre glass rod splinter. I suspect from my carelessness as opposed to a manufacturing issue. The one thing that cheesed me off is the carry bag strap broke the second time using it.

Mine is marketed as a 'three man' blind but realistically its a spacious two man blind. I'm around 5'10"/11" and I can lay down in it.

I bought it on sale for around $120-$150, no need to be paying $500.

I picked up an altan hideout on sale at TSC last summer for 80 bucks. So far my only complaint is that the windows are a bit high. Other than that, seems pretty sturdy and held up well being left out last fall. We will see how it holds up after year 2. I also have a primos ground stake blind. I have had it for 4 years now and it is my go to. Much more portable and flexible when setting up. You just don't have the shelter from the elements.

Sean guys use a simple black umbrella for a stalking Blind for bears on the coast can't get anything cheeper then that
I know one guy that using a tent Hamic He cuts a couple of holes for shooting out of on Haida Gwaii elk
When its realy wet I have used a tent left the door open and set up a brush blind but never had much luck till after the storm and that's not time for using a bline as the deer are realy moving hard after a big blow and it better to walk around I shood see if the umbrella work on deer
Sumtime well the rut is going on I will use my Rokon ( motorcycle ) and sit behind it as a blind and use the seat as a shooting rest well calling deer
