Grouse and rabbits Petawawa?

Not a whole lot of rabbits left in the area unfortunately... grouse are sparse too but there's lots more of them than rabbits! Take a drive down county road 58. Those are my stomping grounds. There's lots of crown land to hunt down there. Beechnut lake road is good too, there are some trails to walk.
Oh how I'd love to tote a 22 on some of my walks in the training area, so many missed shots on everything under the sun.try Mattawa Plain and outskirts, tons of small game, at dusk and down deer and occasional bear, if luck you will run into moose in adjacent woods
When it comes to the crownl land, do you find it sketchy to hunt with the random hikers and ATV's that pop up?
This is a stupid response given that it looks like you moved from Osgoode to Petawawa, but I had a lot of success last year hunting rabbits in Marlborough forest...not much help, but if you ever want to get out around that area send me a message and we can work something out.
talk with people on base, there are tons of service members that hunt, someone will hook you up
