Grouse next week!

Very excited to try bow hunting for Grouse this year, purchased some trauma tips and i have been practicing for months. If thats not successful i can always use the new 10/22 i purchased at the gun show a few weeks ago. Yes, this is my favourite time of the year!

Just started using the bow for grouse this season. Using Judo points, they still go right through. Might try the Carbon Express Shocker. Its pretty much the same, just more of a blunt tip. Either way it's a lot of fun. Good luck hunting!

Took the pup for a walk in the woods yesterday morning and saw 7 of them. Went back to the same spot this morning and only flushed one in 3 hours. .22lr to the head and he tasted mighty fine on the BBQ for supper. Might go again tomorrow morning before work.

Hunting grouse for the first time this coming weekend (first time hunting anything)! Pretty darn excited.

Seen five or six grouse in the morning, a little belated for a decent shot though. I was distracted while playing around with my compass. Heard a moose crash through the nearby forest at just about the same time. Shot a rabbit in the afternoon and disturbed an owl a bit later on.
