GRS Berserk

Almost bought a Berserk and then later a bitfrost. I have and still at times do consider the Bolthorn for my SSG 3000.

Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I found during my research:

Berserk has pillar bedding. So no aluminum bedding block. It's polymer with rubber. Looks great, nice adjustability. I really liked it. It was a hard pass though when I didn't see an aluminum bedding block.

Bitfrost is 50% fiber glass and the rest is a glass polymer I believe. Again no aluminum bedding block. Love the look, love the way everything adjusts. But it's a pseudo fiberglass stock that isn't full fiber glass and that makes me a bit suspect of it. It could be fine or it may need bedding. I tend to prefer a bedding block. You just tighten it up to 65 and you're good to go. I scanned everything I could find and I didn't see any mention of this.

Bolthorn chassis. The look is a bit strange but I like it. I was ready to get one for my SSG 3000 until I saw the price. Ouch.

Ok, so what are the other options?

Not a lot out there that isn't super expensive or doesn't offer all the options. However the recently released Cadex strike Nuke chassis is $750 vs $850 for the bitfrost. The Cadex has a micro chassis system of aluminum with an aluminum bedding block. The covering looks to be glass polymer. Adjustments look decent but not as good as the bitfrost.

Look wise and adjustment system go to the bitfrost. But the actual frame I would say goes to the Cadex. Along with the price point.

Some food for thought.

Had a berserk on my weatherby.

Nothing but good things. Grippy for the winter yote hunts. Comfortable, durable and fully adjustable.

Only bad if you are a lefty. As the palm swell is massive but super comfortable. It put my finger in the perfect position on the trigger.

Put one on my T3.
It definitely has some advantages such as the grippy surface and adjustability, looks cooler if that helps.
Definitely not ambidextrous,
Added weight to it,
Never changed the results on my paper any appreciable amount (albeit limited rounds) but that could be due to several factors.
Fairly flexible in the receiver area, more so than the original stock and more than I expected.
Overall build quality is excellent as is fit.

The quality of those stocks is just out of this world. Have a ssg 3000 with the bolthorn and it is so.... perfect. Everything adjusts perfectly. The synthetic material they use for the cheekpad feels like «#vegan leather#» they use for handbags these days, super comfortable. Recoil pad is amazing. There is railings and attachment points everywhere you need them. It just feels so good to use. Everything that clicks does so with precision and refinement.

I also tried a t3x in a wooden grs hunter stock and it was also really good. Would not want to use any other tupe of stock in the future. All my other rifles feel like trash compared to it.
