I am very interested in these stocks. Does anyone have experience with them? Better yet, is there anyone in the Calgary/Red Deer Area that has a left handed GRS Stocked rifle in .308 that they would be willing to let me try?

I was looking for a Howa or Savage action but am open to options...

Red Star Target Company, Scot is a distributer and is in Calgary. Have purchased left hand stocks from him. Great guy to deal with and great stocks. Probably has rifles on them but maybe not lefties. Go to website for contact info.

GRS laminate stocks are nice but plain chunks of wood and are not worth it. For $900 you could buy a lot of stock. Metal and composite GRS are inferior to the competition and overpriced at least for the prices we have here.

MDT runs circles around GRS and is made in Canada.

If you were to have rem700 footprint Cadex Strike Nuke Evo is a better stock that any GRS and Canadian made. Potentially Tundra Strike could also be a nice lightweight option.

If you are on the market for a traditional hunting lightweight, Wildcat Composites just south of Edmonton are known for a very quality work.

Not sure where you would buy a GRS stock at. I had one on a Savage 10 GRS. It was pretty disappointing to be honest. This was the “Bezerk” model with the polymer bedding block. It didn’t do anything for me in the accuracy department when I installed the stock on my Savage 110. Basically exact same results as the accustock at twice the weight.

Also the more I used it I realized how impractical the styling was. It seems good at first but its not the best design. As mentioned above their is better options for sure.

well I was looking at the GRS 'Berserk' stock simply because I believe they are inletted for Tikka M55 and M65 actions.

This is like saying a browning xbolt runs circle around a blaser.

Mdt has great stocks for the price but my grs stocks are the best stocks I’ve owned. The GRS bolthorn has the best ergi and is the most comfortable stock I’ve ever shot.

If you want comfort and quality and price is no issue, grs is the best. Also the howa or savage with included stock are great value.!

Red Star in Calgary brought me in a GRS Hybrid for a SSG 3000, very nice stock. Easy company to deal with and great feedback from the Norwegian company as well.

I have the GRS Bifrost on my custom KS Arms 300 Win Mag. Could not be happier. Ergonomics are great, price by Scott was good and availability is a no brainer. If you want to go with a chassis for whatever reason, go for it. If you want an easy carry hunting rifle go with the GRS. Having had, Harris, BR style,McMillan, etc, the GRS is my go to.

I only have experience with their berserker Synthetic stock.
I was attracted to their design and adjustability - they fit my action and looked great.
Due to where I live the Synthetic offering was my choice, at this time the berserker was the only option.
It looked good, appeared well made and fit perfectly.
My only issues were the flexibility of it...one of the worse synthetics I’ve had the pleasure of using.
Wibbly-wobbly all over the place in the fore-end and I never really liked it much with a bipod.
I never had much use with it but it didn’t give me the feeling that it would produce results.
For another build I tried an MDT and couldn’t be happier with the results.
Maybe the Bifrost or laminate options are better but I doubt I’ll try another.
