Grumpy Old Man

I've been leaning uncharacteristically negative lately. I ##### about the price of gas. I ##### about rising target prices. I ##### about the lack of registered shoots at my nearest club. I ##### about the drive time to my second nearest club. I ##### about ammo availability - and cost. I ##### about availability of reloading components.... and so it goes. If I let the words out, I'll start sounding like a trap shooter.

I really have it pretty good though. My vehicle doesn't gobble as much gas as most. I have ammo and components stocked up a bit. My shoot card is well stocked. I have some really sweet guns and good friends to shoot with. I belong to two very nice clubs both with outstanding customer service.

Shooting should be all about the ya-hoo or woo-hoo (depending on what part of the country you hail from). Trying to banish all "harumph!"

The grumpiest old man I ever shot with was a skeet shooter. After a few rounds with him I switched to trap. Lol
And I've heard my share of #####ing & whining from sporting clays shooters who couldn't shoot a good score on a trap field....

That may be true Frank but I know more than a few trap shooters that won’t go near a sporting clays course because they will never score in the 90’s like they do on the trap field!

I knew one skeet shooter, that always whined about the targets, and would never shoot on a windy day, but I know several trap shooters that won't ever shoot skeet, sporting clays, or even wobble trap.
