No. When they say that they're referring to a different model of a rifle. That's why the kit includes a large pin and an extra small. No modifications needed, as easy as it was in the video.

Installed mine today. OEM parts are pretty picky, as in, easy to lose in the field, the extra will ride in the grip, a VERY practical upgrade. Thnx again.
I believe that means your lower wasn't properly seated during reassembly. Did the original pin also have a tough time going back in because they are the same diameter and my guess is it just wasn't put back together properly. If I'm wrong and you figure something else out please share.
So I took it apart again to see if I'd put it together wrong, and it was all good. I did figure out why I was having trouble with it though.
The loop that the pin goes through in the back of the upper receiver isn't cylindrical, and when I put the pin in with the spring/loop thingy facing forward it was pushing the pin out of alignment with the hole on the other side. A simp!e turn of the pin so the spring is pointing rearward and it went right in no problem.
Hopefully this might help other users in the future.

I tried ordering these pins a few weeks ago from that same site, and they sent me an email saying they were cancelling the order because they couldn't ship to Canada...how are you guys pulling it off?
