GSG-16 Ejecting unspent round question

Just wondering if anyone else that owns a GSG-16 has the same issue I do. If I have to remove an unspent round the cartridge will only pull out far enough that it ends up resting on the next round on top the the magazine. I was expecting it eject out the side. Does it with multiple ammo types. Its like the extraction claw doesn't have enough traction to fully pull the round out far enough to be ejected from the side. I guess if I remove the mag before I pull the action back it will plop out the bottom of the rifle.
 
Mine does the same thing, little frustrating when you have a FTF and have to drop the mag or shake it to the side. I've been having light strikes as well with approx 100rnds through the gun.
 
I have the same issue. And light primer strikes. And failure to reset the trigger from time to time.

Does anyone make aftermarket parts for these guns? Some parts could be improved, for sure!
 
Seems to be a common problem with a lot of GSGs.. Mine will chamber a new round, but fail to eject the empty once in a blue moon. Dlask blames the BL trigger adjusting screw. I talked with with Jay, that has the US import GSG and his does the same.
 
As OkayShooter says, my IRUNGUNS imported GSG16 has very occasional issues.

I keep trying various ammo in search of a perfectly reliable option. Next on the list are HV CCI 40grain solids & I am open to suggestions.

I really enjoy this little rifle for its features. Love the MP5'ish look & feel.

Mine seems to "hickup" more with the drum mag as opposed to the stick mag. Pretty cool lil toy though, my 11 year old has claimed it when we go shooting. He says he's super lucky to have a dad like me, only one other kid in his class shoots, all the rest play fortnight....
 
I’ve only used the drum mag once. It fed ok but definitely less reliable than the stick mags. Took a long time to load and is pretty unwieldy...

With the stick mags and with one ATI and one BS with the dlask 9” barrel I’ve had good luck running a variety of bulk ammo’s. I’d say my misfire rate for fail to eject, fail to feed and fail to fire is around 2%... so 1 or 2 every 4-5 mags. For rimfire I’m happy.

I had two gsg pistols and they were basically unshootable because they failed so often.

This is my experience too, I bought it, have 4 sticks and the drum mag all brand new and cleaned/oiled. Drum mag fed about 50 perfectly then had an out of battery deton., fed 30 more reliably then every 3rd bullet would get jammed so bad I'd have to eject the mag and pick two bullets that were jammed. The sticks I dumped 400 rounds through afterwards and not an issue. Plsu you don't really want to head to the range, then sit there for 15 minutes loading the damn drum.
