Hello Everyone,
Do you need to show the GSG 16 Trigger Assembly tag for any legal requirement? No other 22LRs that I own have anything other than a serial number on the receiver itself.

I've kept it shown but dont like the look compared to an uncut lower housing. There is no number or anything on the tag other than CIP N which means ????

What is the general opinion?

Well it appears that CIP is just a review body stating the quality of the rifle (like TUV) but does not appear to be a formal government requirement.

Anyone know more about this and if I can cover?

Why would you mess with it? Just leave it alone.

The CIP over N indicates the rifle has been proofed to CIP standards in Germany. There is no legal requirement in North America to have proof marks. Do with as you see fit.

Excellent information, thanks!

Agreed, I don't want to mess with it, I just want to clearance the new trigger housing from the inside to clear, not cut thru like in the photo.

The CIP mark will still be on the lower but hidden behind the trigger housing

I'll post up a photo when done.

Cheers
