GSG 16 vs Kriss Vector 22

Vector looks great out of the box but the GSG16 is easily customizable into a very nice rifle. Lack of large capacity mags of the Vector makes me sad

Field stripping the GSG is a PITA. As a modding platform, fun sure...but it's a money pit as everything is really cheap plastic. The 20 capacity of the GSG is not an equal tradeoff for it's cheap flimsy feel. The Kriss feels like it's actually a real firearm when you hold it and buying multiple 10 Rd Mags has not been a problem.

Cleaning is a bit of a PITA with the GSG but really it's just the removal of the allen holding the bolt block. 10 rounds in a mag is the same as my Cooey 64 :)

I respect the Kriss blowback 22 but you need to love the Kriss design over the MP5 to want it. I love the MP5. Both models are pretend versions of the real thing.

Theres more than an Allen bolt that makes the 16 a b¡tch to strip.
The ten round mag is nothing to scoff at, especially when being a pistol style mag and when you have a bunch of them preloaded and strapped to you.

I agree that the Kriss design isn't for everyone, I love it and the MP5 personally. But aside from the action, the Kriss is a Kriss through and through. Everything else is standard Kriss quality and materials just like their larger caliber vector system rifles. So it's not pretend anything.

The GSG shares no design or materials with an actual MP5 and is of significant less quality than an H&K. So the 16 is very much a pretend version of the gun it's trying to emulate.

Only thing they have in common is the round they shoot. Kriss .22 shares same parts as the centerfires other than the V system, so the .22 is a tank and flawless very well built firearm but heavy for .22lr. The Gsg 16 on the other hand is pot metal and cheap plastic.

Everyone that ran my Kriss commented on the weight being a issue for a plinker. It was a little awkward to carry around my property for use as a tool. But for plinking and competitive shooting the Kriss is a solid choice, accurate, reliable, and it's a Kriss so outstanding quality and also super easy to clean.

Yeah, not really a fan of the cleaning of the GSG whatsoever. I have heard replacing the screws with HK takedown pins will help to a degree, but just don't like the manual unscrewing - and that metal bolt hold piece, of which the retaining screw started to strip...plus there is that small little spring in the magwell area that is not retained and can easily fall out if you don't put it down on the right side while disassembling.

Thanks.

I was going to get another GSG, the factory 9", but I think I will get the Kriss 22 due to much higher quality components. A 10 round mag doesn't bug me....I have the drum for the GSG if I want to go nuts lol.
