Edit: Found my problem after a full tear-down, leaving it up incase others have a similar problem and they can possibly find this. it was build up of gunk and some debris near the chamber it was not allowing the bolt to come 100% forward. so on the back end it was impossible to slide the bolt stop into place due to the lack of backspace. cleaned it and bolt went fully forward and fixed the problem.

it was difficult because it appear that the bolt was fully forward from looking at it closed from outside and underneath the mag well. took a full tear down to see the problem

ORIGINAL POST:
Trying to reassemble my gsg16 after cleaning it. This is the second time I reassembled it last time was difficult when I got back together this time for some reason it just won't work.

I followed a couple YouTube guides haven't found anything that helped the problem is the silver both block piece the last piece that holds the bolt as a bolt stop just will not go back into its slot.

It's like a country mile away from being able to fit I would need to like shave it down nearly in half to get it to possibly have a chance of sitting and I don't understand why I did everything properly the guns perfectly reassembled and Cocks and dry fires. Does the stupid bolt top refuses to go. I'm about just to shave the thing down and say forget it

Anyone else had this problem I'm desperate for some kind of solution

Edit: I should also mention I had to disassemble it down to the barrel because there was junk on the spring in the charging handle so I cleaned and lubricanted that and reassembled.

The only time I've had trouble putting it back in, I was putting it in the wrong way. Try turning/flipping it around a couple of different ways and see if you can get a better fit. Also, make sure your bolt is far enough forward to give the metal piece enough room to slip into its slot.

Thanks for the reply but I am certain that's not it. Not only have I tried everyway I know how it is supposed to go in, well with the indent for the screw you put in facing you for one.

But I tried placing it even without the trigger assembly in just to test. It won't even go in then with extra room. I'm so confused. The slot is much smaller than the bolt stop. It's like the bolt is not far enough forward. But it's as far forward as possible. The bolt looks completely closed so I don't know.
