I was finally able to get out to the CHAS range and dispite the mud and mosquitos I got some shooting in.
I was debating whether or no to buy the complete GSG 1911 .22 or just the slide conversion kit and eventually went with the slide conversion kit. I have two Norc 1911's and considered selling the second as it gets no range time and instead it will see action with the conversion kit installed full time. The Norc's go for so little money it seemed a better idea to hold onto it.
I wasn't sure what to expect but it performed flawlessly*. I fed it a mixture of what .22 rounds I had on hand from CCI stingers to Remington bulk box and some old Aguila (?) hollow points I bought at a garage sale wayyyy back in the day.
* I had one dud round that wouldn't fire after three attempts so I bin'd it. The round had a good firing pin strike so I don't think it was an issue with the kit but something I'll make note of.
All in all I'm happy with the purchase. Now all I need is more mags.
