I've tried a GSG 1911, but wondered if anyone has tried thier stand alone conversion kits?

I have a 9mm Spartan that I'd like to set up with a .22lr conversion kit.

As a side note, I see the 70 series kits tend to be sold out. Anyone know if the series 80 parts can be removed without messing the conversion kit up?

The GSG conversion kits 70 and 80 are the same. If you look at the fireing pin the 70 only have the fireing pin saftey removed. That is the only diffrence.

Dear Canuck223,

We just remove the firing pin safety to create the series 70. The advantage of the series 70 is it works in both and you don't have to change anything. The series 80 works only on the series 80 frame since it has the firing pin safety installed it can be removed and converted into a series 70

Best regards,
Scott

I am running one on my NP29 frame. I have to take my ejector out and needed to sand down the supplied slide stop pin a bit to get the slide to fit. I love it runs great and the mags are built like tanks. Tried to put it on the STI frame I just built up, but it was way too tight. I'm sure withh a bit on stone work it will go on, but not too worried. There are no other conversions at that price point that even come close to the GSG
