Hi Guys
My GSG 1911-22 is fairly new only had it to the range twice, approx 500-600 rounds through it. I have 3 magazines for it. Here's my issue. One mag drops perfect when i depress the mag release and it drops right out. The other two when i press the mag release it sort of gets stuck and i have to use my other hand to pull the mag out. The mag release button seems to get caught in the depressed position.
The mags seat easily and there is no issues putting them in. All mags are GSG branded mags.Any help greatly appreciated. Gun was just cleaned so maintenance is not an issue.

I only have one mag for my GSG and it does not drop free but have to help it a little.
Had considered it just necessary to cycle the mag to break the well or mag in.
I don't have any issues with the release button sticking though.

Funny, I have the exact same issue. The mag that came with the gun drops perfectly. I bought a new mag, and the new one does not drop, it sticks in and I need to pull it out. I suspect there may be some extra paint in the slot on the mag where the release sits, but I am not 100% sure. I was hoping with some more break in time this would get better, but if you have already put 600 rounds through it and it still is sticky, then I dunno.

Just that round tab on the back of the follower. That what the slide hooks on to lock back. It also what binds up preventing it from dropping free.

Made 4 or 5 passes with a file on said round piece. Now mags are dropping perfect. Thanks for the tip. Much appreciated.

I got the conversion kit, so just the top end and the mags. When my mags wouldn't drop free and I know ITS not the frame, I looked down and noticed that. I think its just a reenforced section so its not metal hitting plastic.
