GSG 1911 Short Slide?

I was thinkingof getting one of these for my kid because it looks cool:

but would want to put the ZRTS upgrade package on it. II'm not sure that it would work with the short slide and the new thread protector.

Can anyone verify if the ZRTS package will function on this gun?

I’m afraid that the guide rod from the ZRTS package would be too long at 81 mm length to fit a short slide on the GSG 922 (GSG 1911-Commander). It would be sticking out from the plug.
