Is this a good gun to have? It comes with fake can and I like the look. My purpose is for plinking and bullseye shooting.

What do you guys think of it? It looks fun.

Will the fake can intervere in anyway?

Here is the pic.

A bullseye shooter it ain't but a for a plinker i've heard good things. I plan on getting one in the summer for plinking and cheap practice.

Also there are tons of threads on this gun, I know the search function is sh*itty but there out there.

I have no intention to use it to compete in bullseye. More for cheap practice and plinking.

You like the look without it? Really? I like the railing as well.

If I take off the fake can, can you see the TB at all?

Nope, barrel is flush with the slide.

The only difference between the Tactical GSG and the Standard is the fake silencer comes with it and the rail. You can buy the fake silencer separately as they fit on the Standard GSG 1911 as well

Here is a picture with the brige mount that will only fit on the GSG 1911 Tactical

How much is shipping to Toronto?

I have never seen the fake silencer in person but thinking of getting one. How are they put on?

Just unscrew the thread protector and screw on the fake can.

that's it.

for those who say it ain't bulls eye shooter, you might be right, but it's as accurate as my Ruger 22/45. (bit more fte on gsg, but overall equivalent) and GSG is funner to shoot.

I love the 1911 form, it fits my hand perfectly, so . try holding it and shooting it!

IMHO this pistol is a must have for anyone with a 1911 in .45. When I "warm up" at the range I start with this 3-6mags and then I switch to my .45, if I'm having poor groupings I go back to the gsg until I have it sorted out. I always bring this gun to the range with me, the kids love it as well.

After countless 1000's of rounds my slide stop catch is beat out and the pistol no longer holds open on last round. This isn't a huge issue as I count rounds fired out of instinct anyhow, but I should either repair or replace soon.

I picked up the GSG for plinking, and its great fun! (only without the silencer, I like the look better without).

You can take it off. The rail and the fake silencer is what the GSG 1911 tactical adds. You can get a bridge mount and then put an optic on top if you want that’s another reason to get the tactical. The fake silencer has a huge hole in the middle so it doesn't affect accuracy at least not noticeably. I've seen people shoot clays at 100 yards with it so it can shoot ok. Not the most accurate firearm but it works.

i just bought one of these as well, the tactical setup so i look forward to trying it out the range now that they have finally cleared my ltatt after 6 weeks of waiting lol.

Excellent gun, picked one up a couple weeks ago and love it. Haven't had a single problem with it yet. With the bridge mount, do the spent casings eject properly? It looks like they might hit the mount in that picture.

I have the GSG tactical and I will admit it was a little finicky at first but now I have it running great and it is my favorite of all my guns to shoot. Buy one and you won't be sorry. Blue line is great to deal with if you have any issues.
