Well I have ordered it from blueline with extra mags and am dying ot get it. The reason for my post is what I will be taking it to the range with a couple different types of ammo to do a test and tune as well as a write up on here for others that are interested in it.

The reason I bought it, I like 1911's but want to get used to shooting one, playing with grips and see if any upgrades are needed, and then apply that to a norinco 1911 as a great starting base/platform.

I like the price of rimfire but if I get into a home defense position with the home invasions gaining steam now I want that .45 and the wife can back me up with the gsg. O I should have mentioned she shoots my stuff and likes the glock more than me.

I asked this question:

Any pictures of the actual pistol available?
On the picture that You posted I can see that the frame is actually a two piece cast frame.
When I'm looking at the front of the trigger guard, I can see the countersunk hole for a Philips head screw, so are those pieces just bolted together?
Don't take this as me knocking this product, please.
One more question here.
Will the GSG 1911 be able to use any .22's or only the high velocity ones?
Thanks.

No answer so far.
I guess that I will pass on this one.

Or wait till I ge tmine, strip it down, see how it works, range test it and if it finds the EE then stay away!!! lol For the price I cannot go wrong and to be able to be one of the first to field test it and break it down is exciting. At 38 things that go boom still make me giggle like a girl guide selling cookies!!!

I have one on order.

I read that the picture is of a demo made up for show purposes only & that the actual guns are one piece. Another article said that about 80% of the gun ( mainly the frame & internal parts ) are 1911 and that a .45 top end should make it into a 45.

Other than the above I am buying on faith & hope that it is not a piece of junk.
