Orderd a GSG 1911 from Badger. Melfort to Regina, received next day. Upon first inspection I have to say I was VERY impressed with fit and finish. The only quam I had was the beaver tail safety didn't always engage (disengage??) with my typical 1911 hold, trigger hands thumbresting on thumb safety. I figure this will change with use. Anyhow, took it out to the range today as a toy to play with while sight in rifle barrels were cooling between shots. What a blast!!! Pistol came with mid height front site installed and it was shooting about 5 inches high at 25 yards. changed it out to the low site, a few adjustments for windage and she was bang on

Admittedly I almost immediately succumbed to the pleasures of low cost speed shooting, blazing away, didn't really take the time to verify accuracy. 300 rounds 4 different ammo types, mag loaded to full 10 rounds, and only a single failure to load, with that cheap 333 crap. And that was with nothing but a quick wipe down out of the case! I've had a mosquito, a beretta NEOS, hi-standard, Browning Buckmark, S&W mdl 41 and Ruger Mk II and NONE of them proved this reliable (yes, I am quite certain the hi standard is far more accurate, but she is a picky eater, like a baby that doesn't know how to put a spoon in her mouth). But I am going back tomorrow, this time I'll show a little restraint and see how it prints. If you're looking for a fun plinker and are a fan of the 1911 design, this thing is a MUST BUY. I'll try to get some targets up tomorrow.
