Gsg-5?

i just recently discovered they make a 22LR version of the mp5 called the GSG-5. Does anyone know if its possible to get one in Canada?

It is currently prohibited......so in short it is impossible for you to get one. However Spacesaver is right that it is in a big legal battle right now but there is no end in sight anytime remotely soon.

Depending on the Henderson appeal, the end may be sooner than you think. If Henderson wins the appeal, pretty much all of the guns deemed to be "variants" of prohib guns will be reclassified according to their technical specifications, not what they resemble cosmetically.

True, but the Henderson case will make it reasonable to do so and expect success. Especially in a case such as the GSG-5 where the only similarity is cosmetic.

Yes. That is true.

I'm just trying to help manage expectations. Its not like a Henderson win would force the RCMP to re-evaluate everything the next day, and then they'd all be legal.
