Well I was excited to take my new GSG 15 to the range today. Filled one mag with 22 rds and fired about 6 rounds had a jam, cleared it by cycling the action/pulling the mag and replacing it then went to fire again and found a casing stuck in the chamber. I was shooting Remington Thunderbolt bulk ammo.

Any advice on getting this round out?
Is it as simple and finding something narrow to stick down the barrel the other way?
Is this likely a one off? Or a sign of problems to come? I have never dealt with this issue before.

Pic of the problem. I am unable to pry it out from the reciever end

Probably not stuck very tight. Carefully stick a cleaning rod/dowel down the barrel, never letting a body part line up with the muzzle/barrel and gentle tap the rod. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.

For future reference these guns don't like Remington ammo, stay away from it. Mine loves CCI Blazer or Federal Auto Match. I don't recall a single failure from either of those ammo types.

Lol just my luck. I had a box of Remington Thunderbolts open so chose to try them first as they worked well in my other guns.
Options in my box
S&B
CCI AR
Brass eagle
Federal (many versions)
Aquila
And probably some others lol figures I really thought high velocity was the only real requirement for these little rifles.

Noted
No more Remington ammo, I've sworn off Remington rifles ages ago may as well DC the company altogether.
Hoping this will be a one off.

If it makes one feel better, a 3/16" hardwood dowel cut so 1 1/2" sticks out the end of the barrel; put the the rifle muzzle down on the the floor, and press gently; "pop" out it comes. Being Remington, discard it in a safe place with all the rest of your un-fired Remingtons.

Little penetrating oil wouldnt hurt either. Had a stuck 223, tried a couple things first but after a little blast down the barrel and left to sit straight up it practically fell out.
