Both my wife and I prefer straight mainspring housings on our 1911's. They seem 'right' for smaller hands and point more naturally.

Her GSG always felt odd to us with the factory arched MSH. I recently installed an Ed Brown SS MSH with mag well on one of her SR1911's, so I had the Ruger factory part to install in the GSG.

It went in without a hitch and the 'feel' is now familiar. Cooper called it the "angle of deflection". Being steel, it adds a little more weight in the hand than the factory alloy part.
