Gsg16 Rifle 22lr 9 Barrel questions

So I just saw this and thought it would be a fun pinker for me and the kids, now I noticed to have the short barrel they went with a stock tube extender in the back. With it pushed fully in is the lop still ridiculously long? Aslo if anyone has this model what are your thoughts on it. Thanks in advance.
 
It is not a fun plinker.
After the first day you will want to smash it to pieces.
Maybe I got a lemon, but I sold it the a few days after I got it.

YMMV. My buddy has one and it runs perfect. It didn't at first until I explained you cant run junk bulk ammo in semi autos and expect them to run well. Once he started to run CCI mini mag 40gr it was 100% reliable and 99% reliable with 36gr and standard velocity.

My own early GSG16 with 9" DLask barrel runs 100% reliable with all the above.

Just keep it clean and use good ammo.
