GST Precision Compensators?

Perfect, I was looking at either the 3 Gill brake, or the NLC/SLC 7.62 compensators.

I have installed 2 of the GST brakes this week, and have threaded a 3rd one onto another rifle I am slowly building, I will be timing and blending this brake into the barrel when I get around to it.
For the money I don't think you can beat these things. (realistically these are priced where muzzle brakes should be priced) When I first saw pictures of the brakes I assumed the gills were 90 degrees to the bore. They are in fact angled back slightly, not as aggressively as my APA little bastard however. I haven't shot either of the brakes I installed this week, however my buddy shot his rifle after I put the brake on and I know he is very happy with it. I am hoping to shoot this brake back to back with my APA sometime soon.
I foresee myself buying more of these brakes for other rifles.

Here is a picture sent back to me of the first one I installed on a 20" factory Remington rifle.

I have to say that dealing with GST precision was a pleasure. He made me a 1" Dia brake to fit my 18mmx1 metric thread and bored it to 7mm. The exterior machining was very nice. the chambers had some rough burs, but its not like you can easily get in there to de-burr. I did mod mine a bit, I put a taper from the last chamber down to my barrel outside diameter, as well as put a 11 degree crown on it instead of the flat.I finally got around to installing mine and shooting it today, and there was a very noticeable reduction in recoil. But even better than that was the increase ability to stay on target. Shooting at 100m on 25x zoom, normally the recoil sends me high and to the left off target. With the brake I stayed perfectly inline horizontally and only raised 1 Mil vertically.

Very pleased with the brake
even more pleased with the price.

The recoil reduction is nice but the best feature of the brake is definitely the reduced muzzle lift and control when tracking. I have had lots of feedback stating the same results and ability to stay on target.

As for the 1" brake when machining the gills at 15 degree there is some burrs inside that are hard to get at. I do my best to deburr in there manually. It does not affect the performance of the brake at all.

Thanks all for sharing your experience.
