Are there any good shops that sell new lathes, mills and combo machines in the GTA? I've been to Busy Bee tools but I was wondering what else is out there? Any ideas?
Look in the Yellow Pages. The auction ads in the newspapers aren't a bad place to look either. Just remember that new machines aren't cheap and usually require 220 volt hydro plus a place to put the machines. Also, the tooling doesn't come with any machine. Tooling isn't cheap. Especially new. All of it will require training if you're not already trained. A lathe or a milling machine aren't like a drill press.
Check out the Tri-Ad paper or I-Sell, what ever they call it these days. There are used machinery dealers in Burlington.
Getting one that only needs 220V would be good, but some heavy duty machines might need 600V.
