I bought this trigger brand new, and what a dissapointment. The problem I have is that sometimes when you pull the trigger, it won't break. This is a 2 stage trigger, and the first stage works well, but once you take up the slack of the first stage, sometimes its a nice crisp, clean break, and others, when its supposed to break, there's a feeling of over travel, and if I pull hard enough, it'll finally break. Has anyone seen this before, or experienced something like this? Do you think there's a fix, or should I ship it back to the manufacturer, if they let me? I'm at a loss. Its installed correctly, I am almost thinking there's a defect, but dint have enough experience to know. Thanks guys.

I don't have one but try calling Geissele Customer Support at (610) 272-2060 and see what they say. Where did you buy it from, you can probably get it exchanged.

Other than an incorrect install, I'd say that there's something wrong as I have two of these (SDE) and they both work flawlessly. Did you check your safety switch to make sure there isn't any interference, as in, you're testing function of the trigger w/o the upper attached to visually see what's going on.

I bought it from a dealer in the states that is no longer a distributor, so an exchange through them is not possible, as for the safety lever, I'm not seeing any issues, but I'll double check it a little later today. I'll try cust svc and see what they say. Thanks gu

How do you know it's installed correctly when you say you don't have enough experience to know what is wrong?
Unless you have a gunsmith around that is familiar with AR's or someone else that know's them well to help you then the best you can do is either watch some youtube vids on it or call the manufacturer and see if they can troubleshoot it with you.

Check the safety for sure; and check that the disconnector spring isn't binding at all. Disconnector spring shouldn't affect the initial pull but it could cause the disconnector to want to catch the hammer (during trigger pull) if it's stuck; and that part will want to come apart when you do the initial install.

The wide (fat) end of the spring coil should sit into the trigger itself.

I would remove the safety and dry fire ( obviously ! ) test the trigger function.

As already mentioned sounds like the selector/safety slot is interfering with trigger

This will verify if your safety is out of spec and dragging on trigger

Shouldn't have to fit safety on any Geissle except for the Hi Speed ( because that triggers rear portion is slightly wider than std )

This link explains this better

If the selector is the culprit I would not do the fitting as outlined in the instructions but rather replace the safety

Trigger is defective apparently and guissele wants to replace the unit. I've cleaned the trigger, un installed and reassembled with no luck on fixing the problem. Problem is, guissele can't send me a new trigger direct, which means I may be waiting a bit for some sort of resolution. Thanks for the feedback.
