I bought an atv gun boot today.A Kolpin for $107 with mounting hardware. It has a foam liner to help protect the gun and scope.I have a rear seat on my 650 Brute Force.

Whats the best way to mount it?

You can try a reverse mount and attach the gun boot mount to your front rack. Not as convenient as having it mounted to the rear rack in heavy brush conditions, but it will work. My buddy has done this with his Yamaha.

As for the Kolpin Gun Boot itself, if you're shooting a scoped rifle, you should check to make sure the barrel of your rifle is taking the weight of the rifle, rather than the bell of your scope. If the scope is taking the full weight of the rifle, you may run into zeroing problems and/or scope damage; especially if you're heading into rough country. If your barrel is too short, a lot of guys will stuff the boot with extra material so that the barrel will actually take the weight.
