As for the Kolpin Gun Boot itself, if you're shooting a scoped rifle, you should check to make sure the barrel of your rifle is taking the weight of the rifle, rather than the bell of your scope. If the scope is taking the full weight of the rifle, you may run into zeroing problems and/or scope damage; especially if you're heading into rough country. If your barrel is too short, a lot of guys will stuff the boot with extra material so that the barrel will actually take the weight.
