What about it? Any substance to the claims about Gun Butter, or is it just another goo that comes with large claims and prices in very small containers .

I have used Gun Butter and like it. It stays where you put it. One nice thing is the color so you can see it. The bad thing is the color.. It looks like my gun is bleeding from the slide and frame rails after each set of shots... LOL.. But i do like it. They have both grease and oil and both work well. Makes my gun run well. (Tanfoglio Limited Custom in S&W .40). It lasts about a year and i clean my guns after each use, which is once a week at least... There are lots of products out there.. depends on how much you want to pay. But this is a +1 for Gun Butter... Google it if you want to see the web page...

Thanx rdgietz, I purchased a used open gun just recently and the former owner recommended I use this product. I've ordered some GB grease and oil (its not that expensive) and was wondering how impressed other folks were with it. I have a supply of Miltec oil too which is supposed to have some supernatural properties. Its good oil but that's about it IMHO.

Anyhow, thanks for sharing your impression re the GB. We use a "stays in place" lubricant called Aqualube for some applications where I work. Its too thick for pistols but if the GB shares Aqualube's stay there characteristics that will be a plus for sure.

You're Welcome..
