So I got rid of the old bore snake and the gun cleaning "kit" I had with a multi piece cleaning rod that was metal. I picked up a Tipton rod for my .300 and a hoppes rod similar to the tipton for my .17 hmr (never had any tiptons for that .17hmr at wholesale sports). I also ordered another tipton for my 22-250 online.

Anyway I then picked up some dewey jags: .17, .30, .22. I then get home and the only jag that fits a rod is my .17 jag on the hoppes rod. The tipton rod and dewey jags are both female. FRIG it's always the little things. This store is over 2 hours away so I am pissed off at myself. I could only find dewey jags or other brands I was unfamiliar with. For rods all they had was tipton or hoppes. So I bought them assuming they would work, I never even thought to look and see if the fittings were a match. Is there a converter to make the jags fit? Should I order new ones online and take the old ones back sometime? What should I do?:bangHead:

I think you can get an adaptor from Dewey that allow you to use Hoppes stuff. Look at their online store, they ship to Canada.

You should get a Sinclair catalog. They're free.

N.B.: Sinclair is a Brownells company, with the same 100% Guaranteed Forever warranty. <http://www.sinclairintl.com/aspx/general/forever_guarantee.aspx>

I'm thinking they didnt give you the adaptor, for I just bought a dewey rod for my 22-250 and it came with the adaptor taped to the rod... should give them a call and confirm if it was supposed to have the adaptor included.
