Gun Club Membership Question

I am awaiting my restricted pal upgrade from Miramichi but have had an unrestricted pal for about 8 years. Am I able to do a clubs safety course and practice shoots for membership or must the restricted pal be issued before that can happen. Does it differ from club to club? I am in Ontario for background purposes

call the club you want to join and ask

A lot of clubs have a 'club' gun for just such emergencies. You should be able to do the silly club level course too. There shouldn't be any 'practice shoots for membership'. It does differ from club to club though.

call the club, but for me, i was always within arms reach of the instructor for live fire. some people had, others did not.
