Hello all! I recently acquired my RPAL and purchased an M&P9 range kit, and am looking for some place to shoot it. The Orillia Gun club is my home range, but sadly they are not accepting new members at this time.
Can anyone recommend an alternative? I am looking at Barrie, but they are a little pricey, possibly Midland?
Thanks

Theres Aurora, but thats still a 1 1/2 hour trip for you. I'd see if there was anything north of you ,Muskoka area must have something.

barrie is worth it for what you get. signup is expensive, but annually is pennies for the size of the facility and grounds.
shooting guns in itself isn't a cheap affair, buy a club membership and save the new gun for next year!

Thanks for the suggestions, but I'd like to stay a little closer to home. I'll look into the clubs that are a little more north of me, I have heard good things about them.

Huntsville is accepting new members, so come up some Wednesday evening and check it out.
If you are interested check out the website huntsvillepistolandrevolverclub dot com, it is still a work in progress but will give you some info.

I would avoid Barrie at all costs.
Price is really high, charge a initiation fee approx $160, fee for the ATT course - really adds up
You can't shoot on your own for about a year, and IMO excessive probationary shoots.
No reason if your an experienced shooter who can demonstrate safe handling/shooting with one supervised shoot.

HI; you need to decide ,distance, gas cost, travel time in years to come, length of time you plan to stay a member, the up front hoops all clubs have. Do they have what you want now and in the short future?

An hour drive for you if you want to drive to Meaford. East Grey is accepting members at this time with NO initiation fee. $90 for a single and $100 for a family. Next general assembly meeting is March 11/14 at 7:30pm

How close are you to Parry Sound, they have the Parry Sound Hunters and Anglers and the Parry Sound Pistol Club. $175 for the year, 3 supervised shoots, one in house safety course and your good to get your ATT. If you want to shot non-restricted you join and shoot right away. There is trap, a 100 rifle range, archery range, and of course the pistol club. The pistol club you shoot from inside a heated area outside so it isn’t too cold in the winter.
