Gun clubs near downtown TOronto

Hi all, I need to take a ATT course...I was wondering if there are gun clubs or places I can take the course near downtown toronto??

I am already in Silverdale, I called them and they said I can do my ATT course anywhere....so anyone know any place near downtown toronto?

I don't believe that there is any such thing as an ATT course. You must be thinking about a the Canadian Firearms and Safety Course which allows you to get a Possession and Acquisition License (PAL). You can get a non-restricted PAL (only non-restricted guns) or a restricted PAL (both non-restricted and restricted guns).

I took my course at colby in waterloo (called a handgun safety course) but didn't join there. I was able to use that certificate from colby when I joined my current club (not GTA).
 
What's an ATT course?

If you mean the firearms safety course, google up Firearms Academy Canada

They do some of their courses out of a legion hall on Lakeshore blvd. I took my course there and it was an excellent experience.
 
any approved range in Ontario where you are allowed to shoot restricted or prohibited firearms requires that a separate safety course is taken before they will apply on your behalf for a long term ATT. some are one day, some are two days, some are pretty mickey mouse. some ranges will allow proof of taking the course somewhere else, some won't.
 
And therefore you have to take the course at the club you want to join.

So OP, pick the club you want to join, and they will take care of it for you.

The club then applies for the ATT for you, so you have to do that clubs course and get the ATT through them.

And that is the BS we deal with in Ontario.....
