gun out of storage

yeah, i've been thinking about reloading... will DEFINITELY get into it if i end up getting a .223, which I plan to, as I can use my .22LR brass for soft nose, if I buy those jigs :D

dumb question for you guys, what can I do to learn to shoot better, other than just pull the trigger a lot more? we were shooting at clay pigeons hung on a pile of tree limbs, at about 70m, with 40 or so rounds through it, i didn't hit a single one, we also had one at 100m and one at 120m, the 120m one was taken out by someone else with the .22, and other people seemed to have slightly better luck with the 30-06 than I did (and the .22 for that matter)

Nice gun. I grew up shooting a very similar rifle from the late 70's. My father's rifle, it had the lower grade ADL stock on it chambered in 270. Very accurate and good handling. I'm sure you'll enjoy.

ok, so for some more noob questions, what are my options for bipods and recoil pads? after shooting the 40 rounds i did, my shoulder was pretty sore! the gun, which i'm sure you can see, has nothing but a hard plastic butt on it, and boy did i feel it (especially the one shot I tried from prone)

as for bipods, I don't have a sight rail on it, and I would prefer not to have to drill the stock or anything, but I did see one video where a guy had a bipod that just clamped onto the sling bolt? it installed in about 30 seconds, and he said he loved it, it had a small amount of swivel which was nice...
