the time has come where i need to sell off some of my fire power and looking at my invantory i was thinking of selling my Cooey model 60 and 64 on the lone fact that i own 2 10/22's and dont need 4 .22's so i am looking at what should be a good starting price for my cooeys

I'll get probably get slagged for saying this, but $100 for a well-used (but still rifled!) Cooey 60/600 and $125 for (a non-FTE!) Cooey 64 seem about right.

i picked up 2 used Cooeys for 75 bucks. one was missing the trigger guard and the other's bluing was worn. still great shooters though. i'd say start around 100 bucks if they're in good condition.

It only takes 10 minutes and a $7.00 part to restore the FTE error of the 64. I have 5 and all are different. models...64 c/w plastic mag and rabbit stock ( original 64) a 64 converted to metal magwell and mag. Cooey 64A , Lakefield 64B and Sears 8C (64C)...each one cycles and operates great if they are cleaned regular and the ejector is not broken or bent when the barrel is removed. The early models used a wire ejector while a flat metal one came along in the second remodel.

the cooey 60 is a great long lasting and seems collectible model bolt action , as is the model 600. Both guns are in the neighbourhood of a $125-$150 depending on year and condition. I have seen them on here sell for over $200.

You don't need 4 22's...AAAACK!!! What does "need" have to do with it? ;) You would not want to look in my Gunsafes [for rimfires] 4 is a drop in the bucket, and I just bought another. :dancingbanana: It's an illness, I guess. Regards, Eagleye.

the "Mossy Magic" has entered my life and the 64s have to make room. Love the old 1930-1940s Mossys. Especially those that load from the stock.Have some and got another today.

gun safe is getting full

so buy another safe.

regarding your question, i bought to Cooey Model 39's for $75 bucks. both were in need of bluing and a little bit of stock work, i'd say if they're in prime condition, depending on the model, 80 - 100 bucks each.
