I’m in a bit of a transition with my gun safe ,it’s too small . I don’t want to rush out and buy another safe just yet as I may have the opportunity to buy one from a relative so I’m holding off for now .

Right now I have a mix of handguns and long guns in the current safe ,it’s way too crowded and I can’t access anything quickly as all may come tumbling down or out . Maybe I should just buy a small safe for the hand guns in the meantime . Are there handgun dedicated safes ? What do you use ? Does it keep them so they don’t get marked up ? Can you post some pictures and information .
Thank You

How many handguns are you trying to store? I would probably just suggest that you store them in locking rugs or hard cases for the time being if you are expecting a new safe.
Currently, I use the wire 6 pack holders. They are OK.

Could use a case for the pistols as well. The Nanuk cases keep them well organized. Some risk of theft or corrosion with storing them in a case though

Not really in the same dilemma but, because they cannot be replaced, I have been thinking I need a good fireproof safe dedicated to handguns.

It would not have to be huge or to display, but I really want it to be able to survive a catastrophe and still be somewhat accessible and follow the storage rules.

I will be watching this thread for any ideas

In the same boat I’ve got 2 gun cabinets just busting at the seams as I save up for a proper big safe, Canadian tire sells those cabinets that you put together on sale for like 80$ so I’d recommend one for now and turn it into an ammo cabinet if you get a proper safe later
