gun shops in Bangor Maine to visit?

Hey guy's and gal's, is there a good gun shop to go visit in Bangor? Gonna be going down for the weekend and wanted to go spend some $

Can't recall any good gun shops in Bangor but there used to be a cool little gun shop in Milo, ME just north of Bangor off the I95.

You should check the legal section on what is legal and not legal to export. Canada Customs does not care what you bring back so long as you pay the sales tax on it. However it may be legal for you to purchase ammunition, components, scopes etc while in the states it is not legal to export it to Canada, unless you are licensed exporter, the item manufacturer is licensed to export, that you have an export certificate from thier state department and a letter from the canadian government saying it is ok for you to buy that weaver scope.

Interesting. I usually only get down to Bangor/Brewer once a year, usually in the spring, so I'll be looking forward to seeing their new place on my next visit.

While you're there, why not check out the model train convention? I hear the Swayze Express is decent.

X 2 on the Kittery Trading Post. Fantastic store with great prices. The staff are excellent also.

One of the coolest things about Maine, which you'll see at the Kittery Trading Post, is that rifles and shotguns are kept accessible to customers. You can walk up and down the aisles and stop, touch, pick up, and shoulder any longarm you wish. They're all unlocked, just like any other consumer product. (Relax, Safety Sally, the chambers are plugged, and the eye-in-the-sky and the floor staff are keeping a watchful eye and a respectful distance...until you need something, and then they're right there.) You can buy ammunition without showing them any card of any kind, and, meanwhile, as you're perusing their inventory, you're simultaneously practicing legal CCW. Awesome!
